Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-26
This Privacy Policy describes how Venkata Sundaragiri ("we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use venkata.info and the Architect Zero learning platform (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
We collect only the data needed to operate the Service:
- Account data: email address, display name (optional), and authentication metadata when you sign in via email + password, Google, or GitHub.
- Progress data: lessons completed, quiz answers, flashcards mastered, XP earned, streak counts. Stored against your account so it syncs across devices.
- Anonymous browsing: if you browse the venkata.info marketing pages without signing in, we do not set tracking cookies or collect identifying data.
- Local-only data: until you sign in, your progress lives in your browser's localStorage only and is never sent to us.
2. How we use it
- To provide the study app — show your progress, score your quizzes, sync across devices.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To send transactional emails (password resets, email verification).
- To send the venkata.info newsletter — only if you explicitly opt in via the footer signup. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not run third-party tracking pixels.
3. Subprocessors
We rely on the following services to operate the Service:
- Supabase (database + authentication hosting)
- Google (OAuth sign-in, if you choose Google)
- GitHub (OAuth sign-in, if you choose GitHub)
- GitHub Pages (static site hosting)
- Cloudflare / GitHub (HTTPS termination, CDN)
Each subprocessor has its own privacy policy. We only share with them the data strictly required for their function.
4. Cookies and storage
We do not use tracking cookies. We use:
- localStorage on your device to cache progress and remember your authenticated session.
- Session tokens issued by Supabase to keep you signed in.
You can clear both at any time via your browser's settings.
5. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Access your data — visible in your account page and exportable on request.
- Correct your display name or other profile data via the account page.
- Delete your account and all associated data — email us and we will action within 30 days. Account deletion is permanent.
- Withdraw consent for the newsletter by clicking unsubscribe in any newsletter email or emailing us.
Under GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA/CPRA (California), and similar laws, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability of your personal data. We honor these regardless of your location.
6. Data retention
Progress and account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Once you delete your account, we erase your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
7. Children
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our subprocessors. We follow reasonable engineering practices to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. If you suspect a breach, contact us immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note the new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the homepage or via newsletter to subscribers.
